Maple, Walnut & Fig Goat Cheese Bites

An easy holiday appetizer made with goat cheese, fig spread, and maple glazed walnuts for the perfect bite-sized starter!

Maple, Walnut & Fig Goat Cheese Bites

Ingredients:

 1 tbsp Maple syrup 
 1 tsp Brown sugar 
 ½ tbsp Coconut oil 
 ¼ tsp Cinnamon 
 ½ cup California walnuts, roughly chopped 
 15 Mini phyllo shells 
 4 oz Goat cheese, divided into small pieces 
 ½ cup Fig spread 

Preparation:

Add maple syrup, brown sugar, coconut oil, and cinnamon to a small saucepan over low heat.

Chop walnuts into small pieces and add to pot.

Mix together until all walnuts are well coated.

Spread walnuts evenly on a baking sheet to cool.

While the walnuts are cooling, place phyllo cups on a baking sheet.

Place about 1 tsp goat cheese inside each phyllo cup and bake for 7 minutes.

Add fig spread and maple glazed walnuts to the top of each cup before serving.
